everything tanning
After a spray tan, or home-applied tanning solutions, the skin often feels dry the next day. This dryness occurs because tanning products can strip away natural oils and disrupt the skin's moisture barrier, leading to dehydration of the top layer of the dermis. To combat this, it's essential to moisturise daily after tanning. Regular application of a good moisturiser helps to replenish lost moisture, restore the skin's natural barrier, and keep the dermis hydrated, ensuring that your tan lasts longer and your skin remains healthy and supple. Another good tanning habit is to not shower directly before applying tan or getting a spray tan as this causes your PH level on the skin to diminsh and can lead to much dryer skin. Some salons will use a ph balancer spray if you have showered before a tan but ultimatly leave at least 2 hours so your skin can return to its natural ph and your tan will be darker and fade more evenly over the coming days/weeks. If your legs look like this before coming for a spray tan or applying tan at home it would be wise to moisturise and hours before tanning with a soft hydrating non oily moisturiser to ensure a nice even looking tan.
