Shave and exfoliate at least 24 hrs prior to tanning – this will ensure your tan goes on even and fades evenly.
Use a scrub twice a week for sloughing off any dead skin to prepare for your next tan and moisturise for hydrating and keeping your tan for as long as possible.
Wear loose fitting dark clothing for your spray tan - we normally recommend you go home bra less (for women of course) and some tan will go onto your clothes but it does wash out. We will provide hats and g-strings should you require it but you can always opt in for commando.
Allow 10 mins for your tan - It is just so quick so if you are being dropped off tell your 'ride' to wait you really will only be 10 mins

- Organic Natural Tan 6 - 8 hours before washing. Some bronzer will come off in the shower but dont worry your gorgeous tan will be exposed underneath. Moisturise your entire body daily to help your tan fade evenly.
- Express Fast Tanning 1-2 Hours only. For very pale people we recommend only one hour but your technician will advise you when you arrive.

AFTER : THE CARE OF YOUR TAN AND FAQ
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST: a tan can last anywhere from 4-10 days and is best the first 3 days. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GET A SPRAY TAN BEFORE AN EVENT: the best time is the day before, your tan will look its best the next day WHEN SHOULD I GET ANOTHER TAN: each person is different but we generally say around day 4 or 5 you can top up your tan with either home products or have another spray tan. If you find that your doing this and your skin is having that crackling effect then you are applying too much at one time, try putting less on and then topping up, you will find this helps your tan fade more evenly. PREGNANT: click the link MENSTRUATING: we dont know why but have defiantly noticed over the 11 years that if your period is due or you have it, your tan may only last a few days. We think it is hormonal as the uterus sheds the skin exfoliates faster so keep that in mind. WEDDING TANS: generally for weddings we dont put as much on a bride and bridesmaids for the special day. You want to look as natural as possible so if your getting a tan for a wedding party please let the tan technician know and they will adjust accordingly with your skin tones. WHEN CAN I SHOWER: B R O W N A L L Y E A R has three types of tanning solutions. BAY10 organic (all natural suitable for all skin types) requires anywhere from 4-8 hours to develop before you can shower BAY2 fast developing (natural but is not organic) requires 1-2 hours then you must wash the tan off. |
Daily care for your tan Moisturise daily – to prolong your tan and keep your skin nice and hydrated to help your tan fade evenly. Beach Life - rolling around in the sand exfoliates you, so be sure to exfoliate before your tan and you will be fine rolling in the sand. Swimming Pools – chlorine will fade your tan faster. Gym bunnies - gym bunnies will find that their feet exfoliate faster and leave patches, to avoid this make sure you exfoliate your feet well before tanning and do not put too much tan on. Summer time - summer time can be tricky with hot sweaty arm pits. Best possible way to avoid the white patches is to wear a tight t-shirt to soak up the excess moisture.
