Oils vs Creams and what’s the difference?

Moisturising Creme used to be the hydrating buzz but now everyone prefers Body Oils and why?

They key thing about Oils is that the actives are present at a much higher concentration as they’re not diluted, so they have a more tangible effect on the skin they generally contain less additives than creams and are absorbed easily.

The simple purpose of a Cream is to hydrate and protect the skin, which is also great depending on what you like what your skin condition is and why you are moisturising.

MOISTURISING CREME

Moisturisers are great at keeping the skin healthy looking and reducing signs of aging, but compared to other beauty products, moisturisers often contain  synthetic chemicals and petroleum by-products.  Always check the labels for ingredient list.  Creams certainly do have their place but never assume.

Creams have the benefit of containing a number of beneficial ingredients such as aloe vera, vitamin E, vitamin D, shea butter, and keratin.  Using a moisturizing lotion in the morning and oils at night replenish the skin of its lost moisture, repair damaged skin, and can alleviate various types of skin conditions."

BODY OILS

Oils protect the skin's lipid barrier and are great at preventing moisture from evaporating from the skin. Some people believe applying oil, especially to acne-prone skin, will clog pores, cause breakouts, or leave a greasy film. The truth is, most natural oils are easily absorbed and not greasy.

Look for products with the fewest ingredients and those that do not contain parabens, petrolatum, or petroleum jelly. People in general, have a misconception that skin care and beauty require fancy products with lots of ingredients to work better. The reality is that an inexpensive bottle of sweet almond oil will likely work just as well as an expensive bottle of the latest big-brand moisturizer.
